Community Marketing Specialist Munich
We are looking for a Community Marketing Specialist (Munich) to join our Marketing Team at Klättermusen.
Since 1975 Klättermusen has been a pioneer in making refined Scandinavian Mountaineering Equipment. The designs combine utility and extreme durability, always with consideration of the environment in mind. Klättermusen supports and inspire outdoor enthusiasts through unforgiving weather conditions and unpredictable terrains. Rigorously tested in real-world conditions, the equipment embodies Klättermusen’s commitment to creating the best and most sustainable equipment available.
As our Community Marketing Specialist (Munich), you’ll be the friendly face (and well-worn boots) of Klättermusen across Germany’s wild peaks and creative pockets. You’re the bridge between our brand and the people who live and breathe adventure; hikers, climbers, trail runners, skiers, gear nerds, weekend warriors, and everyone in between.
Your job? Build real relationships with the communities that already get it. That means teaming up with local legends, cultural changemakers, and creative crews to turn our values into unforgettable shared experiences on the mountain, off the beaten track and in the heart of the city.
You’ll cook up grassroots happenings and ambassador adventures to connected retail moments and local collabs. Whether it’s a trail clean-up, a panel talk at a climbing gym, or a community hangout after a gear test, your goal is simple: make Klättermusen feel less like a brand and more like a trusted companion for people who care about the depth and craftsmanship of the true mountaineering mindset.
In short: you're not here to shout louder. You're here to invite people in.
Key Responsibilities
Community Vibes & Connections: You’ll be out there meeting mountain folk, city hikers, climbing crews, creative collectives, indie retailers, eco-activists and the low-key legends who live and breathe the outdoors. You’ll keep those relationships real and ongoing, helping Klättermusen show up in all the right places, with all the right people.
Street-Level Brand Building: You’ll scout and support a crew of local ambassadors, artists, and low-profile-but-high-impact ‘friends of the brand’; the ones who move culture forward without trying too hard. You’ll give them space to create, connect, and carry the Klättermusen story in ways that feel honest and earned.
Events That Don’t Feel Like Marketing: You’ll concept, plan, and run events that feel more like meet-ups and less like corporate theatre. Think curated, thoughtful, and human-first. It’s all about community connection. From gear test hikes and trail running events to pop-up hangouts and intimate workshops this is where our ethos comes to life.
Culture Radar Always On: You’re already plugged in. You know what’s bubbling up in the scene, street culture, sustainability circles, and the corners of Germany where interesting things tend to start. You’ll turn that cultural radar into smart, sensitive activations that feel one step ahead (but never out of touch).
Retail with Soul: Support local retail teams and stores to make sure the Klättermusen experience shows up strong, whether it's a fresh window display, a local campaign, or a reason to actually go to a store. You’ll help translate community energy into real-world foot traffic.
Partnering with the Right People: Work side-by-side with wholesale partners to bring our brand to life where it matters. From in-store takeovers to co-hosted events, you’ll help build bridges between retail, community and local culture.
Telling Stories That Matter: Collaborate with internal teams and local creators to help tell stories that dig deeper. The kind rooted in real people, real places, and the values that define what Swedish mountain adventure really means in 2025. You don’t need to hold the camera, but you need to know who should.
Making Campaigns Hit Home: Bring global and seasonal campaigns to life in a way that resonates with Swedish audiences. You’ll localize briefs, build the hype, grow our local following, and help knit together our email subs, social handles and WhatsApp community into something truly connected.
Budget & Results Tracker: You’ll have a local community marketing budget to work with and the trust to use it well. You’ll keep track what’s working, where the energy is going, and report back on how we’re growing, learning, and leveling up.
Your Guiding Principles
Lead with Purpose, Not Product Pitches: People don’t gather around logos, they show up for shared values. Start with what matters to the community. Let the gear follow naturally, with local flavor and energy.
Make It Easy to Join In: This isn’t a spectator sport. Create chances for people to show up, contribute, shape things. Whether it’s a climbing adventure, a creative showcase, film night or just a great group hike. Design it so people always feel part of it.
Keep It Real (Always): Trust is everything and you earn it by showing up, listening, and being honest. Build relationships in the core spaces that matter most: big mountain expeditions, alpine climbs, ski tours, backcountry days, long runs, longer treks.
Product That Pulls Its Weight: Sure, our gear’s part of the story but it’s not about selling. It’s about functionality and showing how this kit performs when things get real. Built for resilience. Built with intent. Always connecting back to the why.
What You Bring
A Solid Network: You know your way around Germany’s outdoor, creative, cultural and eco-minded scenes and you’ve got the relationships to prove it.
5 Years Making Things Happen: Whether it’s community marketing, brand experience, events or partnerships, you’ve done the work. Bonus points if it’s been in the progressive outdoor lifestyle space.
A Real Love for the Wild: You walk the walk and spend your free time in the forest, up a mountain or out on the trail. You get the rhythm of Germany’s natural spaces and the people who thrive in them.
Grassroots DNA: You know what it takes to build a local scene, from managing ambassadors and creators to running activations that connect.
Strategy-to-Street Translation: You can take a big brand idea and turn it into something that makes sense on a hillside, in a café, or at a climbing wall in Malmö.
Project Management & Event Chops: You juggle timelines, budgets, and a million WhatsApp threads, and still land an event that feels effortless.
Self-Starter with a Team Spirit: You take initiative, roll with the unknown, know when to lead and when to link up. You’re flexible without losing focus.
Positive Vibes and Follow-Through: You bring energy, creativity and a genuine hunger to make things happen. And make them matter.
Fluent in Swedish & English: Whether it’s writing copy, pitching an idea, or hosting a community hangout, you move comfortably between both languages.
What You’re Signing Up For
A rare chance to help shape how a technical outdoor brand shows up for adventurers around the world.
A fast-moving, entrepreneurial team where ideas fly, sleeves are rolled up, and no two days look the same.
A global playground, our gear reaches over 50 countries, and you’ll get to connect with communities and culture across borders and time zones.
A seat at the table in developing comms, concepts and programming that lives up to our mountaineering mindset and philosophy: Maximum safety for you. Minimum impact on nature.
